Balsamic-Glazed Pork Chops
Tender pork chops coated in a simple balsamic glaze made with balsamic vinegar, honey, Dijon, and pantry seasonings. This is an easy main dish – it only takes about 20 minutes!

These balsamic pork chops are so easy – 20 minutes easy – and the best kind of main dish. They’re easy enough for a regular o’ weeknight dinner but are not out of place if you want something a little fancier for those fancy times like holidays or other special occasions. They work either way.
This recipe starts with bone-in pork chops and finishes with a super simple honey-Dijon-balsamic glaze. That flavor combo is delicious – it’s a little sweet and a little tangy with a little smidge of heat from the mustard. It works so well with the chops.
Ingredients
- Bone-in pork chops: Look for ones about 1/2″ inch thick. You can use thicker ones if you like, but you will need to adjust the cooking time.
- Balsamic vinegar
- Honey
- Dijon mustard: You can use other kinds of mustard, too. I think grainy or spicy brown mustard would work well in the glaze.
- Garlic
- Dried thyme: Or other dried herbs like chives, oregano, or Italian seasoning.
- Olive oil and unsalted butter: Only a tablespoon of each!
- Salt and pepper
- Parsley: For garnish, if you like.

How to Make Balsamic Pork Chops
☑️ Make the Balsamic Glaze
Whisk the vinegar, mustard, honey, garlic, and dried herbs in a small bowl.

☑️ Season the Pork Chops
Pat the pork chops dry with a paper towel, then season them with salt and pepper on both sides.
☑️ Brown the Chops
Heat the oil and butter in a large pan over medium-high heat. Once the butter is melted, add the chops and brown them on both sides.

☑️ Simmer the Glaze
Lower the heat and add the glaze. Simmer the pork chops in the glaze for a few minutes or until the glaze has thickened. Spoon the glaze over the chops.
Garnish with the parsley for serving!

- 1 teaspoon kosher salt divided
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper divided
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar

- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- Chopped parsley for garnish optional
Instructions

- Lower the heat to medium-low and pour the sauce over the pork chops. Tilt the pan so the sauce covers the bottom of the pan evenly.
- Cook the pork chops in the sauce for three to four minutes or until the internal temperature is 145°F and the sauce has thickened.
- Remove the chops from the pan and let them rest for a few minutes. Serve them with the sauce spooned over the top. Garnish with parsley if using.
