Sparkling Berry Lemonade

Cold and fizzy lemonade made with fresh blackberries, strawberries, raspberries, and lemon juice. Perfectly sweetened and the best way to cool off when it’s hot.

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 sprigs fresh mint
  • 3/4 cup blackberries
  • 3/4 cup raspberries
  • 3/4 cup sliced strawberries
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice (from about 4 to 5 lemons)
  • 2 liters sparkling water

  1. Combine the sugar and water in a saucepan. Bring the mixture to a boil and stir until sugar has completely dissolved. Take the pan off the heat, add the mint leaves, and let it cool.
  2. Place the berries in a large pitcher or container. Using a long-handled wooden spoon, muddle the fruit to break it down.
  3. Remove the mint leaves from the sugar water and pour it into the pitcher. Add the lemon juice and stir. If you are not serving it right away, store the pitcher in the refrigerator. When ready to serve, you can add all of the sparkling water to the pitcher or pour the lemonade into glasses with ice and top each with the water.
  4. Garnish the drinks with berries, sliced lemons, and mint leaves.
