Description
This berry crumble is easy to make and a great summer dessert. Strawberries, blueberries, and blackberries topped with a golden crumble topping is delicious on its own but even better served warm with a scoop of ice cream.
Ingredients
- 16 ounces strawberries, quartered
- 12 ounces blueberries
- 6 ounces blackberries
- Juice and zest of 1 lemon
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
Topping
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup old-fashioned oats
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup butter, cut into small cubes
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- In a bowl, combine all of the berries with the lemon juice, zest, and sugar. Sprinkle the corn starch over the top and then stir to combine. Pour the berries into a 1 1/2-quart baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, whisk the flour, brown sugar, oats, and cinnamon. Add the butter cubes and, using your hands or a fork, work the butter into the mixture.
- Sprinkle the topping over the fruit. Bake the crumble for 35 to 45 minutes or until the topping is golden and the fruit is bubbling hot underneath. Let the crumble stand for a few minutes before serving.
