This berry crumble is easy to make and a great dessert for holidays and celebrations. Strawberries, blueberries, and blackberries topped with a golden crumble topping are delicious on their own but even better served warm with a scoop of ice cream.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 16 ounces strawberries, quartered
  • 12 ounces blueberries
  • 6 ounces blackberries
  • Juice and zest of 1 lemon
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup butter, cut into small cubes

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350ยฐF.ย
  2. In a bowl, combine the berries with the lemon juice, zest, and sugar. Sprinkle the cornstarch over the top and stir to combine. Pour the berries into a 1 1/2-quart baking dish.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk the flour, brown sugar, oats, and cinnamon. Add the butter cubes and, using your hands or a fork, work the butter into the mixture.ย
  4. Sprinkle the topping over the fruit. Bake the crumble for 35 to 45 minutes or until the topping is golden and the fruit is bubbling hot underneath. Let the crumble stand for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Allow the crumble to stand at room temperature for a few minutes to thicken the juices. I love it served warm, but you can also serve it at room temperature.

Leftover crumble will keep in the refrigerator for a few days. Store it in an airtight container and enjoy it cold from the fridge or warm it in the microwave.
