Bring a pot of water to a boil over high heat. Add the pasta and cook it according to package directions (approximately 10 to 12 minutes). Once it’s done, drain it and set it aside.
While the pasta cooks, brown the sausage in a large pan over medium-high heat. Break it up as it cooks.
Once the sausage is almost cooked through, add the spinach. Adjust the heat to medium, place a lid on the pan, and cook the spinach for a minute or so. Uncover the pan and stir the spinach into the sausage until it’s wilted.
Add the marinara sauce to the pan and stir. Once it’s simmering, adjust the heat to low and stir in the cream. Add the cooked pasta, stir to coat it in the sauce, and it’s ready to serve. Garnish with the Parmesan, if using.
Notes
If you don't like a lot of heat, use the same amount of mild Italian sausage.
