These balsamic pork chops are so easy – 20 minutes easy – and the best kind of main dish. They’re easy enough for a regular o’ weeknight dinner but are not out of place if you want something a little fancier for those fancy times like holidays or other special occasions. They work either way.

This recipe starts with bone-in pork chops and finishes with a super simple honey-Dijon-balsamic glaze. That flavor combo is delicious – it’s a little sweet and a little tangy with a little smidge of heat from the mustard. It works so well with the chops.

Ingredients

  • Bone-in pork chops: Look for ones about 1/2″ inch thick. You can use thicker ones if you like, but you will need to adjust the cooking time.
  • Balsamic vinegar
  • Honey
  • Dijon mustard: You can use other kinds of mustard, too. I think grainy or spicy brown mustard would work well in the glaze.
  • Garlic
  • Dried thyme: Or other dried herbs like chives, oregano, or Italian seasoning.
  • Olive oil and unsalted butter: Only a tablespoon of each!
  • Salt and pepper
  • Parsley: For garnish, if you like.
