I love the flavors and textures โ€“ the smoky salmon with the creamy avocado is offset by a generous sprinkle of everything bagel seasoning, which adds flavor and a little crunchy texture. Chives add a pop of freshness for the finishing touch.

How to Make It

  1. Toast the bread.
  2. Mash the avocado and spread it on the toast.
  3. Sprinkle the seasoning over the top.
  4. Layer on the smoked salmon.
  5. Garnish with sliced chives.

Smoked salmon takes regular avocado toast to a whole new level, especially when you add a sprinkle of everything bagel seasoning and fresh chives. It’s a delicious way to start the day.

Ingredients

  • 2 slices whole grain bread
  • 4 ounces sliced smoked salmon
  • 1 medium avocado mashed
  • 1 teaspoon everything bagel seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon sliced chives

Instructions

  • Toast the bread, scoop out the avocado from the skin, discard the pit, and lightly mash the avocado in a small bowl.
  • Spread avocado on each piece of toast. Sprinkle the everything bagel seasoning over the top. Top the avocado with the salmon, and sprinkle the chives over the top.

Notes

Fresh chives work so well here, but parsley is great if that’s what you have on hand. Other finishing touches you might like are thin-sliced red onion or a few capers sprinkled on top.
