Transfer the baking sheet to the refrigerator and chill the candy for 20 minutes or until firm. Store the candy in an airtight container at room temperature or in the refrigerator.

Tips

These are easy to change – omit the peppermint extract for plain chocolate snowcaps. Or, try another extract like mint or almond for a different flavor.

If it’s warm where you store them, you should keep them in the refrigerator instead, so they don’t soften.

White nonpareils make them look like snowcaps, but feel free to get wild with other colors.

Package them in clear bags with a holiday ribbon for gifts or keep them all to yourself – you don’t have to share.

These are a fun, low-stress candy, so if you’re feeling Christmas-y, give them a try. I think you’ll love them!
