Summer Peach Lemonade

If it’s summer, it’s time for lemonade, and there’s nothing better than a batch of homemade lemonade. In this case, a peachy lemony sweet lemonade made completely from scratch.
It’s not hard to make – you’re only a few steps away from your first glass of this summer favorite. We’re making a quick peach simple syrup, mixing it with fresh lemon juice, and chilling it with ice. It’s the perfect summer sipper – bonus points if you serve it in mason jars.


How to Make It
Fresh peaches are a dream in this lemonade, but if it’s not peach season where you’re at, you can use the same amount of frozen or even canned peaches. But if juicy, fat, fresh peaches are around, don’t skip out on them. This lemonade is a wonderful way to use them.

Peach Lemonade
Ingredients
- 3 cups chopped peaches, about 3 peaches
- 5 cups water, divided
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- Ice cubes
- ½ cup fresh lemon juice, from about 2 to 3 lemons
- Peach slices and mint for garnish, optional
Instructions
- Place the chopped peaches, 2 cups of water, and 1 cup of sugar in a medium saucepan. Bring the mixture to a boil over high heat, then adjust the heat to maintain a simmer. Simmer for 10 to 15 minutes or until the peaches are softened.
- Take the saucepan off the heat and let the mixture cool. Once it’s cooled off, strain the syrup through a fine mesh sieve and discard the solids.
- Place ice cubes in a pitcher. Add the lemon juice, peach syrup, and 3 cups of water. Stir to combine.
- Pour the lemonade over ice in glasses. Garnish with mint and sliced peaches, if using.
