Avocado Salsa Verde
Avocado salsa verde is a freshย salsa recipeย with creamy avocado,ย tomatillos,ย serrano pepper, freshย cilantro,ย andย lime juice. It’s so easy you can make a batch in about 10 minutes!

I love thisย green salsaย with all the Mexican-inspired things: scoop it up withย tortilla chips, spoon it overย tacos, roll it up in burritos, or add it as a topping for enchiladas. Lots of options with this one, friends.
Ingredients
- Tomatillosย peeled and rinsed
- Avocado
- Freshย lime juice
- Freshย cilantro
- Onion
- Garlicย clove
- Serrano pepper: Not into heat? Swap theย serrano pepperย forย jalapeno pepperย with the seeds and ribs removed. Or just leave it out.
- Kosherย salt
How to Make It
โ๏ธ Blend
Place all of the ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend until it’s as chunky or smooth as you like.
You can serve it right away or refrigerate it so the flavors can fully develop.

- It’s a great topping forย tacoย bowls, shrimp fajita bowls, burrito bowls, or spoon it overย beefย fajitas.
- Fry up some eggs and drizzle some over the top.
- Use it in enchiladas!
- Add it to aย snackย board with bowls of guacamole, corn salsa, and beanย dipย along with plenty of chips for dunking.

Avocado Salsa Verde
Ingredients
- 6 tomatillos, peeled and rinsed
- 1 large avocado, peeled and pit removed
- 3 tablespoons fresh lime juice
- 1/3 cup fresh cilantro leaves
- 1/4 medium white onion
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 serrano pepper (see note)
- kosher salt, to taste
Instructions
- Place all of the ingredients in a food processor, fitted with a chopping blade. and process until smooth.
- Season the salsa to taste with salt. You can serve it right away or store it in the refrigerator for up to four days.
