A refreshing pomegranate cranberry smoothie that’s quick to make and enjoy after all the holiday indulgences.
Pomegranate Cranberry Smoothie
Christmas Day 2014 is now known as the day I ate and drank everything – banana bread, sausage frittata, mimosas, olives, crackers, salami, cheese, potato chips, turkey, Yorkshire puddings, mashed potatoes, brussels sprouts, potato rolls, and gravy. Oh, and chocolate – I ate my way through a giant bar while watching Skyfall. ‘Tis the season to over-indulge! Needless to say, it’s been a very merry week eating and drinking our way through the holidays, but today I needed a break.
Instead of reaching for the eggs, butter, bacon, and cheese for breakfast this morning I turned to my blender and filled it with cranberries, pomegranate juice, fresh orange juice, a little honey, and just a splash of half and half. The result? A festive-looking sweet & tart smoothie that was a refreshing way to balance out all the holiday decadence.
If you need a little break from all the merriment, give this a try!
